Who may qualify
You may qualify if you paid rent on at least one multifamily residential lease, directly to an owner, manager or owner-operator, at a property licensed for RealPage's Revenue Management Solutions — LRO, YieldStar or AI Revenue Management — at any time between October 18, 2018 and November 21, 2025. The property is the gate, not the landlord's name: the administrator publishes a searchable Property List, and you file with your tenancy address and dates rather than receipts.
What the settlement pays
The administrator states there will be no payments at this time and publishes no per-person figure — if the court grants final approval, the fund is distributed later and each share depends on how many valid claims come in. The administrator also warns in its own words that you do not need to sign up with or pay any attorney, company or individual to file.
What happened
Renters alleged that RealPage and dozens of large property managers violated federal and state antitrust laws by using RealPage's revenue-management software to coordinate and inflate rents on multifamily housing. Thirty-seven defendants agreed to settle for a combined $359,925,000 and to change their business practices, while denying any wrongdoing (In re RealPage, Inc., Rental Software Antitrust Litigation (No. II), No. 3:23-md-03071, M.D. Tenn.). The court has preliminarily approved the settlements; the case continues against the defendants that have not settled.
How to file
You can file with the settlement administrator yourself, and it is free. The official settlement site is here.
Most people who may qualify for one settlement may qualify for others they have never heard of. Cashout checks the open settlements against a few questions, keeps the official filing page and the requirements for each match in one place, and reminds you before a deadline.
Cashout is not a law firm and is not the settlement administrator. Final eligibility and payment amounts are determined by the settlement administrator, not by Cashout. Amounts shown are what the administrator or the settlement documents have published; they are not a promise of payment. Filing directly with the official administrator is always free.
Checking which settlements may apply to you is free. Cashout membership is optional and is a subscription: a 3-day trial for $0 or $1.00 today, then $19.99 every month, renewing automatically until you cancel. Which of these applies to you, and the exact date of the first charge, are shown at checkout before you enter a card. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard.
