Who may qualify
You may qualify if, while physically in Illinois, you completed an interview through HireVue's video platform using a model that may have collected your voice and facial biometrics, at any time between January 27, 2017 and June 25, 2026. Filing is easiest with the Login ID and PIN from the settlement email. If you never got one you can still file, but you must supply documentation of your interview and the administrator decides eligibility from HireVue's own records — so this is not a walk-up claim.
What the settlement pays
The administrator estimates about $150 per valid claim, and says plainly that the exact amount is not known and depends on how many valid claims are submitted. There are no tiers and no documented-loss option — every valid claimant shares the fund.
What happened
A lawsuit alleged HireVue's video-interview platform ran models that collected job applicants' voice and facial biometrics in Illinois without the written notice and consent the state's Biometric Information Privacy Act requires. HireVue agreed to a $3,750,000 settlement to resolve the claims (Deyerler et al. v. HireVue, Inc., No. 2026LA00000141, Circuit Court of Lake County, Illinois).
