Cone Health MyChart Settlement

You may qualify if you are in the U.S. and, between September 1, 2016 and November 3, 2022, you accessed the MyChart patient portal on a Cone Health website or completed a submission form there. No records are required — the administrator asks you to affirm that on the claim form and sign it. Filing online goes through a claim-form login; if you have no credentials, the claim form can be downloaded from the site and mailed instead, postmarked by October 5, 2026.

After attorneys' fees and expenses, a service award for the class representative and administration costs, the administrator states the net fund is “equally distributed to all Settlement Class Members who submit a valid and timely claim” — equal shares, not proportional to anything you did. It publishes no per-person figure, and says plainly that the final amount depends on how many valid claims come in. Payment follows the November 5, 2026 final-approval hearing and any appeals.

A lawsuit claims Cone Health improperly tracked the information of users on its website, including the MyChart patient portal. Cone Health denies wrongdoing and the court has not decided who is right; it agreed to a $1,765,000 settlement fund to end the case (Singh v. The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital Operating Corp., et al., No. 1:24-cv-00558, M.D.N.C.). The court granted preliminary approval in July 2026.
