Who may qualify
You may qualify if you returned, or asked for a refund on, a physical product sold through Amazon.com and received in the U.S. between September 5, 2017 and February 12, 2026, and you did not get a refund, got a late or incorrect one, or were charged again after being refunded.
What the settlement pays
After fees and costs, 92.7% of the net fund goes to Subclass A — people Amazon's records identify — as direct payments of the unpaid amount plus interest, with no claim form. The other 7.3% is shared among Subclass B members who file a claim showing they more likely than not qualify, in proportion to the unpaid amount. No per-person figure is published.
What happened
Shoppers alleged that Amazon failed to refund returned items, refunded them late or short, or charged customers again after refunding them. Amazon agreed to a $309.5 million non-reversionary settlement fund and to changes in how it monitors and processes returns.
